This is what witnesses said when one married woman, who is said to married to a High Government Official was caught selling her self among other prostitutes in a house located at sinza Mori. For the past two weeks The Special Dar Es Salaam Zone Police Commander, Suleiman Kova has established a special operation of capturing prostitutes in all three districts of Dar. They covered their faces with cloths and hands fearing to be noticed when they saw the camera man.

Zimbabwe: 15-Year-Old Prostitute Narrates How They Get Raped, Forced To Have Unprotected Sex

At 15, Elsie is a well-known figure in Avenues area doing what she knows best – surviving as a hooker. But the life of a prostitute, as Elsie and others have discovered, is not a bed of roses.

Elsie explains that life as a prostitute is very hard as sometimes clients refuse to pay for services provided whereas others even refuse to use protection. Since she is desperate for money she cannot deny them as they will offer more money.

“Clients sometimes force us to have unprotected or oral séx whilst others force themselves on us. As if it is not enough, the police on the other hand arrest us for loitering or even detain us for failing to pay fines after being arrested,”  Elsie lamented.

Sometimes the cops demand séx in exchange for the hookers’ freedom. The likes of Elsie, when hunting for clients and in a bid to beat competition, have to be roaming around the streets or stalking clients at entertainment joints. Elsie is not the only séx worker facing this ordeal day in day out. Prostitutes are abused by either their clients or even some members of the security force. Society shuns these people as they regard them as social outcasts.
Nyarai (20) a regular prostitute at a local nightclub said if one joins the trade they have to learn to be tough with the clients as most of the clients are cheats and bullies.

“Imagine this other day I got myself a client and we agreed that he was going to pay me $50 the whole night for my services. When we got to his place he started demanding  oral séx citing that the money he was paying me was too much and also he would add $20 more. I agreed to his demands but to my disappointment the client refused to pay me. The following day, he started shouting obscenities as he violently forced me out of his house empty handed,” said a tearful Nyarai.

Charity who plies her trade in the same avenues area with Nyarai lamented her ordeal showing this reporter her blue-black eye she got after she refused to perform oral séx for a client.

“I was physically abused, you can see these bruises on my face that I have tried to conceal with heavy makeup, however the problem is we are never taken seriously,” she said.

Charity did not only get to suffer physical abuse but was also robbed of $80 that she had made the previous day.  She also narrated how her friend in the trade whom she referred to as Senator was raped by a client after she had refused to engage in séx before the client had paid her for her services.
The client got furious and forced himself on her friend and had unprotected séx with her.

“The man pinned her down and had unprotected séx with her for the whole night, he also denied her freedom to leave till morning time,” narrated Nyarai.

She went on to say that Senator could not report the offence the next day as she thought that the police would not sympathise with her as she is just a prostitute, furthermore the events were common in their trade thus it was “not new and worth reporting”.
Gone are the days when prostitution was engaged by women who would have gone through a failed marriage(s) or widow nowadays girls as young as 14 are engaging into the trade due to factors such as poverty, domestic abuse and lack of adequate education.
Most prostitutes are either physically or séxually abused, but let their violators walk scot-free because of the stigma attached to the profession.  The ordeals that prostitutes go through, one can be left to wonder if these people are aware of their rights as women and human beings.
Rumbidzai – a hardcore in the business said they must face whatever comes along their way because for one to be regarded a prostitute she must go through the following experiences: spending the night in police cells, forced to have unprotected séx and being denied payment after offering services.

Houseboy Rapes Master’s 12-Year-Old Daughter

 The family of a 12-year-old girl residing at Laranto in Jos, Plateau state must be regretting their action for employing a 20-year old boy, Aminu Musa as their house boy.

Aminu capitalised on his job and recently raped their 12-year-old girl while the parents were away to their offices. The alleged rapist, Amino has appeared before a Jos Upper Area Court on a one-count charge of rape.
According to the police First Information Report (FIR), the accused committed the offence on Dec. 31, 2012, at about 12 noon, stating that Aminu took advantage of the absence of his master and lured the girl into an unoccupied room in the compound and raped her, committing an offence that was contrary to Section 387 of the Penal Code.
The FIR stated that the father of the girl(name withheld) reported the matter to the Laranto police station on the same date at about 2.00 p.m.

“Unable to bear the pains from the act, the victim raised an alarm that attracted some people to the crime scene.
“The father of the victim later reported the matter to the Laranto police station, Jos which prompted the arrest of the accused,” the FIR added.

It was reported that the victim was rushed to the Kauna Hospital, Jos, for treatment. However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge when read to him, and applied to the court for bail. He also claimed that he was “framed-up by his enemies.”

The Prosecuting Police Officer, Mr Gokwat Ibrahim, told the court that the police were still investigating the matter and were waiting for the medical report from the hospital. Ibrahim appealled to the court for another date to prove the case against the accused “beyond reasonable doubt.”
The trial Judge, Malam Mustapha Hassan, rejected the bail application and ordered that the accused be remanded in prison. He adjourned the case to Feb 1, for continuation.

Abubakar Kikulu has pleaded Guilty apart from what people thought. He was charged with two crimes, the first one was pretending to be a civil servant while he wasn't and the second one is possession of Military Uniforms knowing he was not an Officer from TPDF.
Being lucky since the two crimes have the nature of concurrent, then Abubakar will only spent two years in prison.

When a Victim Bites Rapist's "Private Parts"

Blood stains at the scene of the rape show that the yet to be identified rapist, who was in the company of three others, bled profusely before he ran away wailing for help.
The victim (name withheld) who resides in Weirmouth was coming from a Nicholas Zacharia’s show held at Dangamvura Hotel on December 24 at around 2:30 am when she met the four criminals. She was in the company of her boyfriend. Manicaland police spokesman Inspector Enock Chishiri confirmed the rape.
He said the woman and her boyfriend were travelling towards Dangamvura Service Station when the suspects approached them and asked where they were coming from.
“They did not respond to the question resulting in one of the suspects slapping the boyfriend who subsequently ran away leaving his girlfriend behind. They then dragged the woman into a nearby bush and demanded cash. She did not have anything and they started assaulting her. They also undressed her,” he said.
The suspects threatened to kill her if she did not comply with their orders.
“One of the suspects then raped her from behind while the other one inserted his privates inside her mouth. The woman then bit his private parts, triggering a loud wail from one of the rapists and the suspects took to their heels. They however stole her jacket and a pair of shoes.”
Police are still investigating the case.
“We are appealing to members of the public with information to come forward. We are also appealing to all medical institutions that they should alert any nearest police station if they see anyone with injuries on his privates seeking medical attention,” said Insp Chishiri.
Meanwhile, police have arrested a 26-year-old man from Nyanga who allegedly raped his neighbour. The incident happened in Mangondoza Village. Police said on December 23 at around 11 pm, Albert Masuko followed the juvenile (age not given) who had gone outside to collect a pot.
“Albert dragged the juvenile into a car and raped her once. She screamed for help before her father came to the rescue. He caught him undressed doing the act. He reported the matter to the police and Masuko was arrested. He is assisting police with investigations,” Insp Chishiri said.

Issa Ngumba (45), a reporter from Radio Kwizera of Kigoma has been found dead with a bullet hole on a left hand. Reports add that he was hanged before shot on the hand. Kigoma Regional Police Commander, Frasser Kashai has confirmed about the incident though he could not say much since it was too early and the police were at the scene. Issa was report missing since 5th January 2013 until his body was found inside the Forest of Mountain Kajuluheta. At the scene things like his cell phone, a gun with 5 bullets and 10,000/= Tsh were found.

21 drowned at Lake Tanganyika

It is Said that 21 people have drowned at Lake Tanganyika after their Vessel was hit by a huge storm and sunk. The boat was know as " Yarabi Tunusu" and it had 85 people on board of which only 64 were rescued. Until now only bodies of 9 passengers have been found.
Kigoma Regional Police Commander, Frasser Kashai has confirmed about the incident and he added that it was caused of the Boat Captain after ignoring  his Passengers who saw it coming.

The Okoye twin brothers were allegedly detained at a Kampala five star hotel over unpaid bills, after a performance on Friday, December 21, 2012 in a concert dubbed ‘Chop My Money’ before the ugly incident occurred.
According to the promoter who was in charge of the event, the group was paid for the performance, accommodation and transport according to the signed contract. However, their personal bills went beyond the agreed limit, hence the stand off.
“We will not set our feet back in Uganda,” the brothers are quoted to have vowed.
